There is a couple of good Youtubes channel on moving to various countries in the world, especially for retirees and low cost destinations:

These are countries like Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Guatemala, Vietnam and Thailand. Some are surprising, for example, Italy.

The retirement income required in many of these countries is around 12,000 Euros (e.g., Portugal) or USD (e.g., Albania and Italy) per year, quite affordable.

For Thailand you have to deposit 800,000 Baht (≅$30,000).
